Sequoia Wireless is a California licensed wireless service provider , federally registered broadband provider , and authorized provider of ACP , offering fully subsidized plans to eligible households. Additionally, we are bonded with the California Public Utility Commission, and insured with a $2 million aggregate limit of commercial general liability insurance coverage.
Our Journey
We are proud to announce that as of December 2024, we are an official California LifeLine Service Provider.
Our journey began with entering into a Wireless Reseller Agreement with a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler and Operator (MVNE/MVNO), enabling us to purchase wireless telecommunications services from one of the nation’s top three wireless carriers. This partnership gives us access to a reliable nationwide network, ensuring that our subscribers receive high-quality wireless service they can depend on.
Since the launch of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) in 2022, over $6.4 billion has been disbursed, with 2.25 million participants currently enrolled in California alone. However, with the program scheduled to end in June 2024, the future of free wireless service is uncertain for many. Of the 85 ACP providers in California, only 13 were initially authorized to transition subscribers to a fully subsidized plan through the California LifeLine Program. That left millions at risk of either losing their coverage or facing monthly bills starting this summer.
As a Silicon Valley-based telecom startup, we were founded on the belief that access to a connected device and data plan is a right—not a privilege. Every eligible household deserves the opportunity to benefit from a fully subsidized, zero-cost wireless plan. To protect that right, we submitted a comprehensive 133-page application to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in May 2024, seeking approval as the sixteenth California LifeLine Service Provider.
Today, with our official launch, we remain committed to ensuring uninterrupted wireless coverage for underserved communities across California.

Each of our devices go through an extensive 80-point certification that includes an ADISA-certified data wipe. At the end of the process, we print and place a certification label on each device, which includes a QR code for the Device History Report. This report ensures transparency and confidence and allows us to guarantee each device is fully functional and certified, using industry standard Phonecheck software.

Advisory Board
Gary Dittemore
Gary Dittemore is a Senior Program Manager with 19+ years of high-tech engineering experience. Gary began his career at NASA in mission control by leading an operations team in real-time flight activities and mission planning. During his twelve years with the agency, he rose the ranks to become the International Space Station (ISS) Orbit Operations Chief Engineer, directing complex multidisciplinary problems on ISS. From aerospace to software, he landed a Senior Technical Program Manager at Adobe for five years, where he led a large- scale data project of $100+ million in planned savings, managed multiple vendor teams, and helped to identify and reduce risk through innovative ideas across the company. He holds an MBA from Brigham Young University and a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is currently a Senior Program Manager at Nvidia in the autonomous vehicles space.
Henry Culver
Henry Culver holds a Doctorate in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University with 25+ years of developing and implementing information technology experience. Henry began his career in the United States Army, Special Forces, where he served for twenty years, rising to Major (Ret.). From military to information technology, his professional experience includes senior technical leadership for Business Intelligence projects at Randstad Technologies, solution design for cloud and big data projects at Merkle, and consulting on projects at Adobe, Charles Schwab, and Oracle. Henry has specialized in an array of areas including AWS, System Architecture Framework TOGAF and DoDAF, UML, Oracle, Linux, MapR Hadoop, Networking, Talend, Python, R language, Data Science, and is a Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer. In his free time, he helps train cadets at the United States Air Force Academy.
